Our story

Est 1948, reinvested since 2016

Established in 1948, Avon Valley Abattoir is one of Western Australia's longest standing regional processors and the only dual species Tier 1 accredited export abattoir in the state. Today, 100% privately owned by Mark Grant who acquired the business in 2016 as part of a long-term strategy to vertically integrate livestock procurement, processing and meat marketing.

Since acquisition, sustained investment has gone into plant upgrades, halal certification, export accreditation, cold chain infrastructure, animal welfare systems and operational efficiency, positioning the business as a reliable export focused processor for global markets.
